Howard M. Lorber has been our Executive Chairman of the Board since January 2007 and a director since 1987. Mr. Lorber previously served as our Chairman of the Board from 1990 through December 2006 and as our Chief Executive Officer from 1993 until December 2006. Mr. Lorber has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Vector Group Ltd., a holding company, since January 2006, a director since January 2001 and was President and Chief Operating Officer from January 2001 to December 2005. Mr. Lorber served as Vice Chairman of the board of directors of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services, Inc., an investment banking and brokerage firm, from July 2006 to December 2019 and formerly as Chairman from May 2001 to July 2006; a director of Clipper Realty, Inc., a real estate company, since July 2015; formerly as a director of Morgans Hotel Group Co., a hotel company from March 2015 until November 2016 and Chairman of such entity from May 2015 to November 2016. From November 1994 to December 2005, Mr. Lorber served as President and Chief Operating Officer of New Valley Corporation, where he also served as a director. In 2017 Mr. Lorber was appointed to serve as Chairman of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He is also a trustee of Long Island University.
